social media goals for beginners by Story Silo Media

Feeling the pressure of marketing on your business’s social media lately?

Not sure where to start because, let’s face it, there are SO many different social tools and you kinda strongly dislike the idea of putting yourself out there?

As my super-duper brilliant sister company, The WanderWeb, would say  “Done is better than perfect”.

Seeing that you are active on social media helps to fill potential customers with trust, it signals that you care about your customers, and should anything go wrong, that it will be easy to contact you. Most product-based businesses see a 35% increase in sales just by posting about the product to their social media.

So instead of feeling so overwhelmed that you cram up and put off the important task of showing up for your viewers and potential customers, why don’t we just start by picking one of these five noteworthy social media goals that you can easily implement this week.

Here are five social media goals your business profile can implement as a beginner to raise engagement on Facebook and Instagram

  • 🌟 Show up as YOU on Stories 5x this week (Make them engaging by adding stickers/GIFs)
  • 🌟 Record and post ONE Reel – Especially if you haven’t tried creating your first one yet.
  • 🌟 Engage with 3 new accounts in your niche each day this week. Instead of just liking their content and following them, try to genuinely engage with them by commenting on something relevant to the topic they are posting on.
  • 🌟 Share 4-5 posts to your main feed (carousel post, photo, infographic, even a meme relevant to your industry)
  • 🌟 Plan one IG Live with 1-3 other people in your niche and do it this weekend.

Showing up on social media has a much bigger impact than some may think.

Even if you have 200 views, and ten likes, that does not mean there isn’t power in that post, because 200 people viewing your brand is better than zero. Staying relevant by just getting in front of potential customers, and implementing at least one of these five suggested social media goals will raise awareness of your brand, and get you started on a much easier path of navigating your social media.
